Our Services for You

Your Library Card

Library cards are provided free of charge to all residents of our district, as part of your tax-supported library services. Your card gives you borrowing privileges here and at most public libraries in Illinois, access to special online resources, and more. Click here to learn how to get a library card.

Interlibrary Loan

If you need a book, DVD, or other item that we don't have, ask us to borrow it from another library for you.

You can place your own Hold on PrairieCat (our On-Line Catalog) or you can call the library and we will be glad to do it for you. You can call (708)258-3436. 

If the materials you need are not in PrairieCat we can try to order the materials for you.

  •          Out of the System Interlibrary Loan overdue fines are $1.00 per day.
  •          Requested books that are not picked up during the time allowed is a $1.00 fine.

Programs and Events

Computers

Everyone who uses a library computer must follow our policy regarding computer and Internet use.

Photocopiers and Fax Machine

All photocopies made at the library are $.20 cents.

Board/Meeting Room

Any group wishing to use the Meeting Room must agree to follow library policies.
