A two hour First Aid and CPR class for dogs and cats will be taught at the Peotone Public Library on Saturday, February 25th at 2 pm. The instructor will be Abby, a Certified Veterinary Technician from the Peotone Animal Hospital. Abby will concentrate on CPR and First Aid for Dogs and Cats. Abby is also an authorized provider with the American Red Cross for Pet First Aid and CPR. Your cat or dog is an important part of your family. Learn how to recognize and react to an emergency within minutes. By knowing basic pet first aid, you could save your pet’s life when an emergency strikes! This program is Free and Open to the public. Local Residents are invited to attend Starting a Business in Illinois Seminar at the Peotone Public Library. An evening workshop scheduled on Thursday, February 23, in Peotone. The program begins at 5:30 pm at the library, 515 N. First St., and will be presented free to community members thanks to the sponsorship of the library.
This two-hour program focusing on personal, financial, and legal aspects of starting a business will be presented by Judi Mack, Regional Representative for The CenterPoint for Entrepreneurs at Governors State University. Participants will learn what steps to take and what resources are available to assist new business owners succeed.
The Centre-Point for Entrepreneurs at Governors State University is an Illinois Small Business Development Center offering prefessional assistance, counseling, relevant training, and ongoing support services to entrepreneurs. CenterPoint is a service of Governors State University with grant support from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
