Beginner Genealogy: Discovering Your Family History
This a two session workshop, if you register for the first session you will be automatically registered for the August 15th session.
Have you ever wondered where your family came from or how to begin researching your ancestors? This beginner-friendly, two-session genealogy class is designed for adults who are just getting started with their family history. No prior experience is required.
In this class, you will learn how to begin your family tree using information you already know, how to organize family details using standard genealogy forms, and where to find records online and at the local library. Participants will receive handouts, practical tools, and guidance to help them continue their research with confidence.

• Explore popular genealogy websites such as Ancestry and FamilySearch
• Discover genealogy collections and databases available at the city library
Please Note: Participants will be given a short assignment after the first class and should bring their notes to the second session.
