Plan your next adventure with the Explore More Illinois program. This state-wide initiative partners with museums to offer discounts to Illinois taxpayers. They continually add new partners to their list, so check back often to see what’s new. Check the Explore More Illinois site for our Library to see what their offers are, and use your Peotone Library card to log in.
Did you know you can “checkout” museum passes from our two museum pass vendors? Sometimes you’ll get a discounted ticket, sometimes free parking, sometimes free tickets! Check out the participating museums and zoos on the pass websites.
Museum Passes
Museum Adventure Pass
The Museum Adventure Pass (MAP) program has been around for many years now and most libraries participate. You must be a Peotone library cardholder to obtain a pass from our library. Please check the website for specific pass availability and which museums are currently participating. Passes are first come, first serve, cannot be reserved ahead of time, and can be applied for in person. Passes are checked out for one week only. Below is a list of popular participating museums:

E-media
The Library has three different platforms for your use with a Peotone library card. (Enter your library card number with no spaces and your PIN- the last four digits of you card number). Try them all! Let us know if you need help with any of them. Your tax dollars pay for these resources so there are no fees for downloading these e-resources.
These Library resources are designed sources for your information, entertainment, and discovery needs. All you need is your Library card to access these resources or come in the Library or ask a librarian for assistance. We are happy to help!
Libby
Libby is the e-media platform that has been around the longest and has a vast selection. We are part of a consortium of libraries that share our Libby resources. You can check out e-books, e-audio, and magazines on the Libby app. Scan the QR codes to download the Libby app and get started.

hoopla is another e-media platform that allows any user to checkout up to 5 items per month. These are instant borrows, so no waiting, but you are limited to 5 items.
hoopla has e-books, e-audio, as well as some streaming video content.

Palace Project
Palace Project is our newest e-media platform. You can enjoy any number of ebooks or audiobooks. The Palace Project app is available in both the AppleApp Store for iOS phones and tablets and the Google Play Store for Android phones and tablets.
